Making life easier for a one man food truck

Ted’s Farm BBQ is a Texas BBQ and Vietnamese fusion food truck established in 2018. Their unique menu includes Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches and custom rice bowls. They are based in Austin, Texas and are stationed outside of Southern Heights Brewing Company and also cater offices, weddings, and parties.

The Problem

The food truck is run by owner Matt Roth. Matt often single-handedly runs the food truck with the help of a self-service kiosk. When we first started working with Matt, we asked him what was most important to him when using a kiosk and here is what he had to say:

“Having the customer least confused was my biggest priority. I was previously using another kiosk solution and got so tired of people not knowing what to do next. I worked my food truck alone and everything went really smooth until somebody got confused with the kiosk, because then I had to stop what I'm doing with making an order and help the customer out. Seems like it wouldn't be a big deal, but I do lunch runs to offices where I serve anywhere from 30-100 people in an hour and a half. So every minute counts in terms of getting the food out as quick as possible.”

The Results

After just a week of using KioskBuddy, we checked in on Matt:

“So this is almost the end of the first full week of using your app and so far it seems that customers are having an easier time with your kiosk compared to the other kiosk I was using!
