Advanced Settings

KioskBuddy has advanced settings for special use cases for your kiosk, such as catering. In a catering event, you may want to only use the kiosk to take orders and print, but not collect any payment. In this case, you may use the Disable Square payment flow feature found in the Advanced Settings section. To find this setting, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the KioskBuddy app.

  2. Ensure you are on the KioskBuddy Configuration Home Screen.

    1. If you are in Kiosk Mode, exit out of Kiosk Mode.

    2. If you are in KDS Mode, exit out of KDS Mode.

  3. Scroll down and find the Advanced Settings section, as seen below.

Disable Square payment flow

If this is enabled, KioskBuddy will not ask the customer for a payment. Instead, it will skip immediately to printing the order to connected printers.

Mute Button Sounds

You can use this option to disable the sound made by the buttons on your kiosk when you click on them.

Disable backup manual credit card entry

When no payment hardware is connected, manual credit card entry is shown as a backup payment method. You can disable this behavior by turning on this setting.
