If you're looking to really fine-tune the look and feel of your kiosk, this section is for you. You can granularly control many aspects of the kiosk like the categories, items, variations, and even modifiers. Check out the details on all of the components you can configure below - we recommend pulling up an iPad on the side and playing around with the settings to see how they affect the look of your kiosk!

Use this option to change how the app's background color should be themed. For example, you can choose between light mode or dark mode, the latter being idle for darker ambiance so that the screen brightness doesn't get in the way.

This setting allows you to change how categories are displayed in the kiosk.
None results in no categories being shown, meaning all items will appear on one screen.
Card results in tiles shown for each category. This option is great for images.
Sidebar results in all categories showing up in a side-panel. In this case, it's just plain text to show the categories as well as which one is selected. This option is great if you don't use images for your products.

This setting is only applicable if you have category style set to card. It controls how large the tiles show up as.

This setting is only applicable if you have category style set to card. It controls how the category name shows up in relation to the card.
Outside results in the category name being displayed outside of the tile.
Inside results in the category name being displayed inside the tile.
Overlay results in the category name being displayed on top of the image completely.
None results in no category name being shown at all. This option can be particularly useful if you want to use the image to show the category name (e.g. for custom fonts or designs).

This setting is only applicable if you have category style set to card with category text style set to anything except none. It controls how the category name is aligned in relation to the card.
Left results in the category name being left-aligned.
Center results in the category name being center-aligned.
Right results in the category name being right-aligned.

This setting is only applicable if you have category style set to card. It controls whether or not shadows are shown behind the card.

You can change how prices are displayed for items with multiple variations of different price points. This affects how items look as the customer is browsing the menu.
First price in the variation list results in the first item variation's price being shown. This option is great if you want exact control over which price shows up.
Smallest price results in the lowest amount being shown.
Largest price results in the highest amount being shown.
Range of prices results in KioskBuddy showing a range of the lowest price to the highest price. For example, "$5 - $10".
None results in no price being displayed at all.

Each item shows up in a fixed space (a tile) - this setting controls how the item name shows up in relation to that tile.
Outside results in the item name being displayed outside of the tile.
Inside results in the item name being displayed inside the tile.
Overlay results in the item name being displayed on top of the tile completely.

Below results in the item information showing up below the tile.
Left results in the item information showing up to the left of the tile.

Modifiers can be customized show up in the following styles:

Typically in the cart, all modifier additional price amounts will be combined into the top level line item for a total price. Enable this option for a price breakdown to allow the customer to see the full breakdown of prices of all modifiers for each individual item in their cart.
