Common error codes

Here is a list of common error codes that you might into when using KioskBuddy and what steps to do to resolve them.

Checkout Location Permission Denied or Restricted

This error appears when you haven't given KioskBuddy permissions to access Location when setting up the app initially, or you may have accidentally given Location permissions only for the first time KioskBuddy loads ("Allow Once"). You can change this at any time by navigating to your iOS settings, searching for KioskBuddy, then editing the Location setting to be "While using" as seen below.

Checkout Card Processing Not Activated

This error appears for brand new Square accounts that are not fully activated yet. To fix this issue you'll want to complete the entire Square account setup process, including the basic identity verification. To complete this process:

  1. Sign in to your Square account. 

  2. Click Setup Guide (the checklist on top right of the page, as seen below in red).

  3. Select Verify Your Identity (as seen below in red) and complete the prompts that follow.
