You may have certain items sold on your kiosk that you would like to password protect. For example, if you sell alcohol, you would want to prevent your customers from purchasing alcohol until a staff can come to verify their ID. In this case, the staff would know the password and verify the customer’s ID before typing in the password to allow them to check out. Another example might be if a special customer (e.g. a customer with a membership) has a custom password that allows them to purchase special items.
KioskBuddy has a Password Protection feature for these scenarios. Here's how to enable item password protection!
Navigate to the KioskBuddy Dashboard.
Go to Kiosk Settings > Advanced Settings.
Add a password in the Password Protection text area. You can define as many passwords as you like. Separate passwords with spaces or new lines. Optionally, you can write detailed instructions for your customers in the Password Protection Instructions text area.
Go to the Catalog tab and select your menu.
Find the item that you would like to enable password protection for. Push the Edit button for your item.
Toggle on Enable Password Protection.
That's it! Now from your kiosk, when a customer adds a password protected item to their cart and after pushing the CHECKOUT button, they will see a pop-up like so:
