KioskBuddy v3 is now live on the App Store! Head on over to the App Store to download the latest version of KioskBuddy.

v3 has a ton of huge benefits, which you can learn more about in this article. Once you've decided that you'd like to take part in this beta, here's how to get started:

Please note there is no redeem code or invitation code as this is a public beta. Make sure you follow both steps thoroughly for a proper installation. Once TestFlight is downloaded, you must follow step 2.

Step 1: Download TestFlight

The first thing you'll want to do is download TestFlight from the App Store. TestFlight is Apple's official beta testing app for developers like KioskBuddy to use. You can find it on the App Store here: Download TestFlight

Step 2: Join the KioskBuddy Beta on TestFlight

Once you have TestFlight downloaded all you need to do is open up the invitation link on the iPad where the KioskBuddy app will be running:

Opening the link will show a screen like this, but this time you just need to push this button boxed in red:

When you push that button, it will open up the TestFlight app with a dialog like this, you just need to push the button boxed in red to accept entry to the beta:

When you accept, the button will change to allow you to install the beta version:

After installing the TestFlight app will change again to let you open the beta version. At this point the normal KioskBuddy icon on your iPad home screen will be updated to the beta version (in other words you don't need to start up the app from TestFlight every time).

Finally, we also strongly recommend turning on the Automatic Updates setting to ensure you're always on the latest version of the beta, as seen below in red. Unfortunately Apple forces all TestFlight builds to expire after 90 days, no way around that, so keeping this setting on means you won't need to remember to update.

When you launch the KioskBuddy app, the setup should be the same as usual, in fact, most of your settings should already be configured. Likely the only configuration you may need to do is set up any Square Chip Readers again as well as set up the new setting for sending orders to Square's Order page.

Troubleshooting Steps (Removed from Beta testing)

If you ever run into an error message saying something along the lines of "You've been removed from the beta test", please open the TestFlight app, and click on the Stop Testing button boxed in red below:

Once you do that, you can re-join with the link provided in Step 2 (https://testflight.apple.com/join/12n1aTUF).
