This feature is useful to control when something is displayed in the menu. For example, you can limit breakfast items to be displayed in the mornings only, or drinks of your choosing can be limited to happy hour.

How to Configure the Time Controls Feature

Go to the KioskBuddy Dashboard > Catalog > Select your menu > Click on the Edit button at the Category or Item level > scroll down a bit, and you will see the Time Controls feature as seen below

From there, you add the Start Time and End time to each day you wish your item is displayed for. Please note, the times added must be in military style format.

For example, if you want an item to be displayed from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sundays, the Start Time must be 08:00 and the End Time 16:00, then, click the Apply button as shown in the screenshot below:

To completely hide items on certain days, you can set the start time equal to the end time. For example, 00:00 to 00:00.

Common Mistakes with the Time Controls Feature

  1. The Start Time must be earlier than End Time. For example, if you set the Start Time to 22:00 and End Time to 10:00, the Category or Item will be completely hidden from the menu.

  2. Not adding the correct format to the Start Time and End Time. If you set the Start Time or End Time with formats such as: "0900", "9:30", or "930", the Time Controls feature will not work properly, and the Category or Item will be displayed at all times.

  3. Leaving spaces in the Start Time or End Time, as seen in the screenshot below.

You should be all set with the Time Controls feature now!
